Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers and Yavapai County Sheriff's deputies braved dangerous, rising floodwaters Sunday afternoon to rescue several people trapped by the flooding. After helping a woman reach safety, first responders learned that a man remained stranded inside a nearby home. Without hesitation, the rescue team pushed through the deep water, swimming and wading their way into the flooded residence. They located the man and used a kayak provided by a neighbor to bring him safely out of the floodwaters.
