Re: Apple Maps Reveals Lock Ness Monster?
Doesn't look like a sand bar or bank to me, it looks like one of those barely visible coulds on a blue sky day, one of the barely visible whispy ones. Id say wake but it doesn't look like any boat wakes I have seen. |

Re: Apple Maps Reveals Lock Ness Monster?
I read it's fake. There was a boat there and someone just photoshopped it out.

Re: Apple Maps Reveals Lock Ness Monster?
Not photoshopped, just poor quality image, due to the lack of contrast, the boat (most likely white) got "lost" in the track of waves left by the boat itself: ![]() the "bluish" appearance may be due to image stitching: in some points satellite images are overlayed, and if you overlay an image like this one with another image of the same area in which the boat isn't there but just water, then that's what you'll get. Layer 1 + Layer 2 ![]() ![]() Layer 1 = 100% + Layer 2 = 33% ![]() Layer 1 = 100% + Layer 2 = 66% ![]() And so on. |
