I have frequently worked in the Amityville Horror House. It is a Very beautiful home. There is/was nothing satanic or ghostly going on there. The only eerie thing about the house is just thinking of what happened there, other than that, it's just a really nice place.

The owner is a very nice, very private man. I was disappointed to see his named posted here to be honest. I was hoping he would maintain anonymity. It's unfair for him to have his name out there without his permission. I visit the house a couple of times a year to perform routine maintenance. |

Well sorry about the name posting on here but this is not the only site that post his name. I see he's doing another make over on his house. The house is beautiful. Consider yourself a very lucky person to get the chance to work and enter that house. Many people would love to get the chance to what you do. Oh for the record please Let the idiot who says this is a fake story know that what happened there was very real and not made up by Hollywood.

It's not made up. I remember when it happened. It was a Very big deal (I live in the next town over...Massapequa). After the murders, Butch ran down Ocean to Merrick Rd. to the Bay Village Out bar (the other is the Bay Village Inn...get it?) He was arrested not long after. |

and so its been told. I could have swore i read some where that the neighbors moved some time back? But i dont go there and i dont know anyone around there. In the book "The night the DeFeo's Died". The aurthur says he interviewed the neighbors (names with held, by me) and they heard the shots and told the police and the cops wrote them off? How true it is, is unclear. He also says he interviewed Mr.Wilson and he gave him a simple tour of the home. Again How true it is i dont know but you could always ask him if you want to know the truth. Book writers name is Ric Onusa.
