Um, gee, I've read the news archives (on microfisch, not digital) of the Defeo murders - dated long before the movie came out, and seen Butch's status in the penitentiary system (that's on public record, and no, they wouldn't alter that for a stupid, long gone movie and book) - you just can't fake those.
