Antoine Martin, Detroit Father, Set Up 'To Catch A Predator' Style Sting To Catch Man Who Talked To Daughter

It sounds like a do-it-yourself version of the show, "To Catch a Predator."

A Detroit dad, concerned that a man could be using the internet to take advantage of his 13-year-old daughter, set up his own sting operation to foil the alleged predator's plans.

WJBK-TV reports that Antoine Martin began corresponding with the 22-year-old suspect, reportedly a former Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan volunteer, after becoming aware that he was making inappropriate comments on his daughter's Facebook page.

Presenting himself as his daughter, the father then allowed the man to visit his home. Once he arrived, Martin made a citizen's arrest and videotaped a confession before turning him over to police, according to the news station.

"Just like I suspected, he escalated it and went from just talking to her, being a 'big brother' type, to saying he wanted to be her secret boyfriend and that he wanted to have sexual relations with her, how sexy she was," Martin told WJBK. "He came with condoms in his pocket, and I have a video of him saying I came to have sex with your daughter."

I hope the sicko gets locked up. But is any of this admissible? A confession to an angry father, while he has the guy tied up? Seems like a skeezy lawyer could get him out of that part.
