Here is a compilation of unsafe gun handling by Baldwin while filming Rust: Flagging the crew, shooting after the "cut," and demanding the armorer to reload in a rush. These clips were presented by the prosecution in the trial of the novice set Armorer found guilty of manslaughter.

In another clip (not provided here) the armorer is heard instructing the crew to move to a safe location, after Baldwin is filmed widely flagging the set. Prosecution pointed out that a film set armorer has an obligation to correct flagging gun handlers, which she never did with Baldwin. It is speculated the armorer was intimidated by Baldwin in his producer role, his overbearing personality and this being her first gig as a set armorer.

In my mind, this is the best explanation for how live ammo got mixed into the set guns. Yet the fawking judge would not allow a drug test of the armorer. What other industry would allow a stoned 18-yo armorer to walk away untested, other than Hollyweird, following a live fire fatality no less.

The trial of Rust weapons supervisor Hannah Gutierrez-Reed revealed Friday that she texted she planned to “get high” the night before the on-set shooting that left the film’s cinematographer dead.

Gutierrez-Reed was the assigned armorer when cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed in October 2021 while on Rust’s New Mexico set. She was in charge of checking the Pietta reproduction Colt .45 revolver for live rounds before handing it to actor Alec Baldwin, who was holding the weapon when it fired and hit Hutchins in the chest. Director Joel Souza was also injured, but no one involved was charged related to his injuries.

On Oct. 20, 2021, Gutierrez-Reed sent a text that read, “Heading down to get high out back,” followed up by a message half an hour later that read, “I’m still smoking.” No specific drug was mentioned.

Gutierrez-Reed never underwent a drug test in the days surrounding the shooting. Her lawyers argued any allegation she was under any drug influence is speculative.

Prosecutors suggested Gutierrez-Reed used marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol in the hours leading up to the shooting, impairing her ability to complete her on-set duty.

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — The former weapons supervisor on the set of the movie “Rust” won’t have to take a drug test as she confronts felony charges of evidence tampering and involuntary manslaughter in the on-set shooting death of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin.

A New Mexico district court judge on Wednesday dismissed a request from prosecutors to test Hannah Gutierrez-Reed for illegal drugs, calling it “an ambush” against her defense lawyers.

Prosecutors say Gutierrez-Reed passed narcotics to another person to avoid legal consequences in the immediate aftermath of the fatal shooting in October 2021, while contending in court documents that the armorer was likely hungover on the day a live bullet was placed into the gun Baldwin used.

Defense attorney Jason Bowles said the drug use allegations are unsubstantiated and undocumented.

It’s still unclear how several live rounds of ammunition got on set. Prosecutors say they have some evidence to support the theory that Gutierrez-Reed may be responsible for the introduction of the rounds.

The girl has some connections. Her father is a long-time Hollyweird armorer.

What an ASSHAT!!! He leaves this message to a child? Not even crossed teenage years, but yells at her like she is some psycho manipulative adult? What it sounds like to me is this poor girl wanted her father to think she was important. To call at a certain time, because of HIS needs as an actor. To when he could get away to call. And just because she missed the call, being a child, maybe using the bathroom, or maybe something happened right then she didn't answer. And to him, it is a manipulative tactic to piss him off. But why would a daughter do that? He seems like a narcissist who couldn't be bothered by taking time out of his day, or be told what to do. That is what it sounds like to me.
