It does say they were separated. Since when did that fuck bag own her? Sure it might be a dick move on his friend, but if they were separated, then he overreacted. I'm all for staying faithful in a relationship and I think it is fucked up that some people cheat. But friend or not, if you are separated then you should be free to do what you want unless it was agreed by both people to not date or fuck other people.
