How can anyone repay anyone 28 years of their life?

Dude was raped by 5 guys within 1 hour of being thrown in prison. I hate how the prosecutors here only care about their conviction rate. Even after the DNA evidence came out proving he was not the killer they tried to keep him locked up. That is so messed up.

I love the USA but our government can't be trusted. It's all about money. If you have enough of it, you can buy justice.

i guess this is florida? this state doesnt belong to any other part of the country. they do what they want. i knew a guy that was convicted of murder even though the victims family said it wasnt the guy he spent i think 14 yrs in prison before he got a retrial and was set free. the bad thing is, is that this state does this so much they put a cap of how much they pay these people that are set free because of lazy lawyers and corrupt prosecutors, i think its only $190,000 nothing compared to what you would make in 20 years.

Yup, Florida. Looks like all the states that have beaches have gone down the crapper. A giant tsunami on all coasts may do us some good.

Re: 28 Years in Jail - Now Free. So F'd Up!
That was personally very difficult for me to watch having brushed so closely with being found guilty of something I didn't do. My heart just unravelled with all the tugs on it's strings listening to his dad take blame for wishing he could have done more. Oh my god my parents went through turmoil, as did my son. I hope they all learn to forgive, somehow. I can't imagine anyone of them will move forward and thrive in life until they forgive someone for something. What a sad story. Made me cry. |

There was another man released recently, too, a black man. I have to look him up. Situations like this make me have me doubting the death penalty sometimes, too. Ever since Roy Krone's case, I've become a fan of The Innocence Project! Some guys don't get so lucky. Cameron Todd Willingham was put to death in Texas for killing his three little girls and wife in a fire and went to the death bed proclaiming his innocence. He was exonorated a few months too late for him! |
