Re: 12 Year Old Boy Takes His Life After Being Bullied for Being a Cheerleader
That's just it, people are fast to blame religion for everything, when in truth it is just mass social acceptance on selective desired standards. Just like the anti-gay religious sentiment. The bible has a handful of verses about homosexuality, but thousands of verses that would dictate acceptance, and non discrimination. But mass majority of society decided to shun homosexuality in it's entirety. The bible, and the handful of versus were just a crutch to stand on. Same could have happened if we were a nation of atheist. We could have chosen the same path, just used some other handful of rhetoric to back up our cause. If the mass of society agrees on a particular standard, everyone will sway along, until the time comes a group challenges the theory. |

I hate to break it to you, but that's not bulling.. Bulling would involve them actually going after you, like posting derogatory things on your FB wall, Hacking your account and posting lies as you, going onto your work forum and making comments to get you fired or reprimanded, reposting images of you with defamatory comments about you so people you know could see or worse.. They just think you're annoying and tell you how they feel. |

Re: 12 Year Old Boy Takes His Life After Being Bullied for Being a Cheerleader
I don't believe there's a god in heaven waiting for us no. I'm not a religious person at all. But I know a lot of people who are, including members of my family. So I grew up believing in God, although I'm not a believer today I respect their beliefs. And I tend to stand with religion when people attack it with a broad brush. Because like I said, my mom is religious, so I identify with them. As Vrist said. I believe religion gets the blame for many things that would have happened with or without religion. And I know religion is to blame for a lot of killing. But look at history, godless people also killed, and looked upon people foreign to them as inferior. In America there's groups of nonbelievers who sue and protest a fucking Christmas tree in a mall. They say it's offensive and violates there freedom from religion. I think that's sad, and wrong. There's places on earth that will kill you for not believing, now that's offensive. But candy ass Americans get offended that they even have to see a cross in public. |
