That guy will be a seething cauldron of resentment when he gets out and others will suffer because of it. But he has to be punished, he knew what he was doing. |

I remember hearing about this case when it happen. Sorry but when you intentionally kill someone, you are no longer a kid. You're a murderer and should be treated as such.

Re: 11 Year Old Guilty of Murder (update)
Legally, they aren't available to anyone who wants them. Factually, incidents like these are rare. There are more guns than citizens in America. If incidents like these were as common as you've been misled*to believe, there wouldn't be any of us left. From a common sense standpoint, laws prevent nothing. You don't restrict the liberties of 99% of your population over a problem 1%. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't make it illogical; and sound arguments get repeated precisely because they *do* make sense, your understanding of the term "cliché" notwithstanding.* |

Re: 11 Year Old Guilty of Murder (update)
I know that 11 is very very young. But is someone that is that broken ever really fixed? It is 'theoretically possible', but has it ever actually happened and what is the societal cost to even attempt redemption? Not to be heartless, but this kid is most likely a 'write-off'. |

Re: 11 Year Old Guilty of Murder (update)
As a child you're heart should be enormous! Thoughts of hate, hurting others or murder should never be in the thought patterns of a child of 11. This kid is broken and doesn't need to be among us EVER.
