If he is a known local gangster then everyone is in a bind, especially if they work there. Factor in that this shit possibly happens frequently in that area and people become desensitized. But... fuck, if they were just scared to go in for no legit reason... fucking disgrace! Once I stepped into a (not quite as) serious situation and told the guy to "Be a man.." his became totally disempowered and began to focus inwardly and say, "What do you mean?" I stood between him and the two girls he had in a corner and said, "Just be a man.. go.." He was a lot bigger than me but the conviction in my voice must have hit.. something because he walked away as if ashamed. *scratches head* These guys are fuckin cowards, and deep down they know it too.
