Re: Woman Badly Beaten by Guy at Car Wash
that's his girlfriend, she didn't run away or call the cops. She kept pushing with comments and such. There are actually women who "make" their boyfriends beat them. They don't touch their previous or after girlfriends. I had a friend like that. Strange.

Re: Woman Badly Beaten by Guy at Car Wash
You cannot apply Western or feminist US/UK mentality to understand the bystanders, including the mother who doesn't even try to leave initially. Firstly, ex-Soviet nations learned for many decades to keep their mouths shut and look the other way. Habits like that die hard when you feel they've saved your life. There's also a different cultural mentality in male-orientated countries like Russia where the instinct is to leave men alone to handle their business, and where beating a woman is still similar to beating your wife in the US before the 70s, oftentimes acceptable. The way she keeps coming back at him (not smart) and even hits him once makes me think there's a preexisting relationship (girlfriend/wife/prossie). Mind you, she may have died from such a hail of kicks and punches. Adrenaline keeps you going initially, but once the body is out of imminent danger, brain damage, concussion, etc can set in and be fatal. |
