Postal assistant Abhishek Sinha, said in his complaint that on January 22nd, obscene abuses and threats were sent to his WhatsApp from the mobile of ABPM (Assistant Branch Postmaster) of Gaighat branch. According to Abhishek, on May 5th, while he was working at his post in Revati, the ABPM arrived in the office in her car. He showed the ABPM the abuse he had received on WhatsApp and asked her about it. At this point, the ABPM resumed her abuse and charged at him. Office staff intervened, after which the ABPM called someone. Around 3 p.m., 10-12 men arrived at the office and went straight to Abhishek's seat and began beating him. Abhishek was injured in the attack. The attackers attempted to kill him, scattered and tore up cash and office documents. They also threatened Abhishek not to work in his position. |
