They've been completely sold on US pop culture since day 1. After the film "Colors" was released in 1988, overnight NZ instantly had Blood and Crip gangs. A newer troublesome gang, primarily consisting of maori and pacific islanders with the intelligence of cattle, has named themselves after the Wu Tang song "killa bees". They just can't get enough of the US gangsta culture, from dog fighting to rap music, they imitate it all. Mainstream media has a profound impact on intellectually challenged people.
