I have no reason to believe she didn't pay. If she did pay, I don't blame her for wanting her sweater/coat back If she didn't pay, I think the guy got his money's worth Either way, she battered him first and although you should never strike a woman... that was technically self defense on the cabbie's part.

Rikers pretty much no longer exists in NYC. They let all the criminals out in 2020 after the George Floyd riots because there were too many African Americans imprisoned there. Because you know “racial justice”. Bail reform laws pretty much legalized all crime in NYC minus murder. You can do whatever you want and be back out in the streets in an hour if arrested.
That is how Houston is now. And the crime rate is through the fucking roof all the way to space.
