Apparently, another man would have addressed them and asked the alleged assailant for his mobile phone to take a picture of them, although he fled the place with the phone. The suspect allegedly started an argument with his wife at that time, considering that she was "a crony" with the man who had just stolen their phone. Next, and as can be seen in the video, he grabs her by the neck and repeatedly puts her head into the water . At one point, a person approaches the alleged assailant and he punches him, causing bleeding injuries. The National Police agents quickly went to the scene and separated them, saving the victim. The agents arrested the suspect as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted murder. Both the victim and the aggressor were taken to a hospital for treatment. The police also provided clothing to the woman, who was half-naked, and observed that the alleged aggressor had a wound on his cheekbone and eyebrow, which was bleeding profusely. Finally, they found out that the victim and the suspect were acquaintances and that they had been inside the fountain moments before "in order to cool off." |

Wait, the "victim" here was an accessory to theft? So, one could say she, in fact, did deserve the beating she received? Many users here ridicule China for not intervening in situations not involving them. Perhaps, they possess a wisdom lost on Western ears. |
