Re: Korea: Brawl Breaks Out in a Noodle Shop
You don’t know Korea, then. Koreans are NOT one to back down from a fight.

Re: Korea: Brawl Breaks Out in a Noodle Shop
No, I probably don't. Spent two years at Kunsan AB, with trips to Kimpo, Suwon, Daegu, Taegu, Gwangju, and Busan. Sure, they yell at each other, but the random destruction of a business establishment during a fight is rare in my experience. While in Korea, I was stationed with, and sometimes worked beside, ROKAF airmen and ROK Marine units. The marines were especially salty, but always professional, albeit in a different way than what a westerner would consider professional. They lived their military life to the Nth degree - even when off duty, they'd be wired tight. Chain of command was strictly adhered to, and fights happened under the guise of "group discipline". Maybe your experiences were different. I can only comment on what I know and experienced while there. |
