I understand the father didn't want the kid to leave, if you read the case summary he came to their house to fight the other kid. But obviously the father took it to far and deserves his conviction for the incident. He could have simply snatched the keys, or blocked him into the driveway better.

The man has every right to "detain" him for the police. That punk is on his property and tried to run over one of his family members. That punk would be dead meat. A beating at the very least, and they didn't even accomplish that.

Heh, son got his ass kicked and dad decided he couldn't swallow his pride enough to let it pass. But it's pretty obvious from this video that the only person who was ever in danger was the kid in the smaller truck. Dad just decided to fuck him up because his pussy son failed to do so.  |

There's no proof that the two teenagers in the smaller truck attempted to run over the Redneck King's son. Simple word from one man doesn't go with the authorities, especially when everyone else says otherwise. I understand sometimes actually fighting really can resolve some issues but when a parent eggs on one to fight the other, it's even worse. The man should be put in prison for 8 years and no longer allowed to have his children. Even his wife (or whoever that was on the camera talking, daughter, idk) called the boy in the blue hoodie a S.O.B. White trash like this just kills me inside.
