I thought fake at first, but I freeze framed several times and there was contact. He could've been a new kid at school and no one knew he could fight. And I think if they were really trying to stage it, the bully would have pretended to be KO'd, as in unconscious.

I don't think it's staged. I think the kid who started the fight was set up. The kid sat down wasn't shy to fight, he got straight up and started coming forward when he knew it was on. That kick was real and hard.
