Argentina, The 63-year-old victim suffered a large forehead wound and had to be hospitalized. The aggressor was arrested.

J is 63 years old, he was savagely attacked by a 26-year-old youth with an ax in the middle of a public street and without triggering a fight or a previous dispute.

The aggressor was arrested and the victim was treated at the Emergency Hospital with a head injury and a wound on the forehead with profuse bleeding that caused decompensation.

The incident occurred around noon on Tuesday, when J. was walking through town when suddenly a young man, wielding an ax in his hand, approached him. The eldely man fell to the ground and managed to defend himself with his legs while the perpetrator tried four times to hit him with the ax.

One of the attempts reached its destination and caused a serious injury to J's forehead.

The attacker is not a stranger to the victim's family: he was a repositor in the same supermarket where J. had a greengrocer, and some time after they worked together he assaulted two of his sons with his fist. "He is someone who is not in his right mind," said one of the victim's children.

"He was attacked without saying anything, for no reason," remarked the son and to add that "he was discharged tonight, with some precautions. Now he is fine."

He identified the aggressor as L, who lives around the corner from his house, "in a pension," and who previously attacked two of his brothers three times "with blows to the back. And then he ran away."

"It's very strong to see your dad lying, bloodied, and a guy hitting him with an ax," he said.
