Bartlein's account also included a stunning revelation that Wing Schmidt's boyfriend called her cell phone after she had been shot and was in the driveway. Schmidt held the phone so she could speak to him. Wing Schmidt told the boyfriend she was sorry for bringing him into the situation.

This dispatcher needs some SERIOUS retraining. Her lack of professionalism disgusts me. She misses important information the caller gives early on in the call and spends too much time asking the same questions over and over. I understand the need to get as much accurate information as possible, but this stupid cunt needs to find a new job.

The operator should have tried not to sound bored and annoyed, but in matters like this, time is really the key. The best thing to do is try and relax and get the important information to them so they can help you. If you're crying and yelling, and doing things in the background, they're wasting time trying to get info out of you that could be spent sending someone to help you. It's a hard thing.
