Audio is from a May 29, 2025 fatal police shooting near 4300 W. North Avenue in Chicago.

Chicago police officers were on patrol when they attempted to conduct an investigatory stop of an individual. As officers approached, the individual fled on foot and officers pursued.

While officers attempted to detain the individual, they gave verbal commands and a struggle ensued. A round was discharged, striking an officer in the leg. A separate officer discharged their weapon, striking the individual.

The officer was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The individual was taken to the hospital and was pronounced deceased. A gun was recovered on scene.
