No one was hurt after a man armed with a baseball bat tried to force his way into the Mullica Hill home of Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox on October 15, 2019, while Cox called 911 and waited with a shotgun.

Harrison Township police identified the man as Corbyn Nyemah. Investigators said he had come to the house in Gloucester County looking for his former girlfriend, who was staying there. Before reaching the house he threw rocks at her vehicle in the driveway, then threw two large rocks through the windows of the front door and swung the bat at the garage. Damage was later put at more than $2,000.

On the call Cox tells the dispatcher someone is trying to break in and that he is armed. "I got somebody trying to break in my house and I'm about to blow his brains out right now," he says. He reports the man is busting his windows, asks how long officers will be, and says he has a shotgun. The dispatcher keeps him on the line, tells him to stay where he is, and talks him through the wait until an officer reaches the driveway.

No shots were fired. Nyemah ran when Cox came outside with the shotgun. Officers followed him for about ten miles before calling off the pursuit near the Commodore Barry Bridge.

Harrison Township Municipal Court issued a warrant, and U.S. Marshals arrested him in Philadelphia the following week. He was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest, and later posted bond. Court filings said he had sent his former girlfriend suicidal messages and photographs of a firearm.

Asked about it afterwards, Cox said only, "I'm here to talk about football, I'm not here to discuss my personal life."

The recording runs about two and a half minutes and covers the call from the dispatcher's first question to the arrival of the responding officer. It is the portion released by police, not the full call, which ran longer.
