13 Yr Old Female Calls During Home Invasion

Macomb County MI News - A 13-year-old Harrison Girl hid under a bed, and called 911 to report a home invasion at her home on Hamon Street in Harrison Township.

According to Sheriff's Deputies, on December 15th, around 2:17 PM, 911 dispatch received a call from the little girl who said someone had broken in her home. As she hid under the bed she relayed information to dispatchers about the intruders.

When Sheriff's Deputies arrived they spied two suspects matching the description provided by the girl walking away from the home. When the suspects saw deputies they ran, and a foot-pursuit begun.

Deputies said they used K-9 tracking, and one suspect was taken into custody. Through further investigation the second suspect was identified, and surrendered himself to deputies.

Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the Macomb County Prosecutors Office has authorized the following charges on the pair: 19-year-old Daniel Paul Laflin, and 19-year-old Michael Thomas Zdanukiewicz, both from Clinton Township have been charged with: "Home Invasion 1st Degree," "Conspiracy to Commit Home Invasion -- 1st Degree," "Weapons -- Firearms -- Larceny," and "Police Officer -- Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing."

The two were arraigned today at the 41-B District Court in Clinton Township. Daniel Paul Laflin bond is set at $50,000.00 cash/surety, and Michael Thomas Zdanukiewicz bond is set at $30,000.00 cash/surety.

I dont get why the dispatcher is screaming into the phone when the girl is clearly trying to stay quiet and safe

For fucks sake, talk about 21 (thousand) questions. I understand dispatchers have to get as much info as possible to prepare the responding officers when they get there (20 minutes later), but a lot of the the information that is being asked is not at all crucial at that particular time and shouldn't even be asked. Each time this lady (apparently police stations are now outsourcing to retirement homes) makes the little girl answer another redundant question, she increases the risk of the criminals hearing her. So just get the important info and simply tell the girl to just normally breathe into the phone so she'll know she's still on the line. Other than that NO TALKING!

I'm extremely glad this ended well.
