Oh, I LOVE Jim! I'm actually writing a book about him and his common-law wife, Pamela Courson. :D @Amiann: After the whole Miami concert fiasco, Jim and Pamela took off to Paris so Jim could get away from the rock n' roll lifestyle and music and focus on his poetry. They'd been there for a few months, traveling and generally laying low.. Jim didn't really seem keen on returning to LA or the band. I think he was done with all of that and ready to settle down, but something happened, and Jim died in Paris. Pam thought Jim's resting place should be among others akin to his greatness, so she had him buried in the prestigious Pere La Chaise cemetery. |
