Was that why the container was so big? So as to collect all the dudes that decided to grab the wire?

Re: Worker Standing on a Trailer Carrying a Boat Lifts High Tension Wires
That sucked... So many questions... Why was the person recording it? Did they know the wire was not shut off? Why didn't the guy get fried instantly if the wire was live? There appeared to be a delay of several seconds. Maybe a high voltage RKI can explain... |

Wonder what went wrong. They both appeared to be shielded. He doesn't appear to touch anything different. He just gets shocked.

Re: Worker Standing on a Trailer Carrying a Boat Lifts High Tension Wires
I am not a remote keyless ignition, but I do know a thing or two about electricity. Why was the person recording it? - Probably for this very reason. I would have been if I saw something this idiotic unfolding. Did they know the wire was not shut off? - Yes. This was their way of dealing with wires hanging too low to let the load pass. Put two morons up there with clothespoles. Why didn't the guy get fried instantly if the wire was live? - He wasn't grounded, and the voltage wasn't so high that the field alone got him. There appeared to be a delay of several seconds. - He was fine until his head either made contact with or got too close to the wire above, which was either at a much lower or higher voltage or was a ground wire. Nice arc. |
