Re: Woman Driving Opposite Lane Cause Crash
BUTTERWORTH: Like a car chase scene in a Hollywood movie, a teenage girl drove her car against traffic along the North-South Expressway, smashing into six vehicles killing one person. Central Seberang Prai district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said a urine test showed the 19-year-old girl was high on methamphetamine. Police said the girl was believed to be doing more than 110kph along the highway, driving with her hazard lights on. Other motorists watched in shock and disbelief as her Proton Gen.2 plowed into other cars and a motorcycle. Videos of the incident were also spread on social media. The incident happened at 7.50am. She was spotted driving against traffic in the Sungai Dua to Butterworth direction along the fast lane of the PLUS highway. While a few motorists managed to avoid her, the others were not so lucky as she was speeding. She first crashed into a Perodua Kelisa head-on. The driver, Mohamad Fandi Rosli, 26, from Sungai Petani, died on the spot, with his body partially thrown out of his vehicle. After smashing into the Kelisa, the Gen.2 car spun around a few times before colliding with a Hyundai Sonata, Perodua Kenari and a Nissan. Nik Ros said the other drivers suffered light injuries and were sent to the Seberang Jaya Hospital for treatment. He said a 27-year-old male motorcyclist was also injured. |

Re: Woman Driving Opposite Lane Cause Crash
the 19ys old driver remanded for 7 days for investigation and it seems hard to prosecute her, since she's a OKU (disabled person) card holder ![]() |

Re: Woman Driving Opposite Lane Cause Crash
Why should she being "disabled" make it any harder to prosecute her? Fuck her mental state, it's your actions that count.

The 19-year-old girl who allegedly drove against traffic on the North-South Expressway near Permatang Pauh and caused an accident resulting in the death of one motorist has claimed trial to drug abuse. Ng Pei Ven pleaded not guilty at the magistrate's court here on Friday to a charge of taking amphetamines. The part-time model tested positive for the drug at the central Seberang Prai district police headquarters Narcotics Department on Tuesday at about 5pm. The offence under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which is also punishable under Section 15(1) of the same Act, carries a fine of not more than RM5,000 or a jail term of not more than two years, if convicted. Magistrate Jamiliah Abdul Manap granted RM5,000 bail with two sureties and set May 12 for mention. ASP Md Azman Kadir prosecuted the case. Ng is also under investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving. On Tuesday morning, Ng allegedly drove her car against traffic flow on the highway and collided with four other vehicles at KM134 before coming to a halt. A motorist was killed when her vehicle hit it head-on while two other cars as well as a van and a motorcycle were damaged in the incident. She also had to report to the Narcotics department once a week and had her driving license suspended. |
