Woman on Bike Overtaking a Bike and Car Slams Head-on with Another Bike

Distracted by signaling to a friend while recklessly overtaking on a blind curve, a female motorcyclist caused a horrific head-on collision that resulted in one fatality.

The horrific accident occurred on May 10th on a national highway in the Qinling Mountains, Shaanxi Province, China. The entire incident was captured by a dashcam in another vehicle, highlighting the dangers of violating traffic laws on these steep mountain passes.

Immediately after overtaking the car, the motorcyclist turned to the right to signal to another motorcyclist in the right lane. This moment of distraction prevented the driver from reacting in time when another motorcycle traveling in the correct direction sped towards them.

The extremely powerful head-on collision sent the motorcyclist flying high into the air before crashing onto the road.

Meanwhile, the motorcyclist coming from the opposite direction was trapped between the vehicle and the guardrail.

The 36-year-old motorcyclist died, while the 25-year-old motorcyclist was injured. At the scene, both bikes were severely damaged and deformed.

On May 11th, local police released their initial report on the incident. The motorcyclist is currently under investigation for suspected serious traffic violations that led to the fatal accident.
