Water Tower Repair in Russia Goes Wrong

An unsuccessful attempt to repair a water tower almost ended in tragedy in Russia.

During the work, the tower tilted dangerously and then collapsed, fortunately without hitting any of the workers. The structure collapsed to the ground and literally crushed the UAZ car parked on the road, popularly nicknamed "Loaf".

There were no people in the car at the time the tower collapsed. Most likely, the accident will affect the water supply of local residents and the agricultural enterprise located here.

If there had been someone in the truck, I guess it would have been a "Meat Loaf"!

Well, since there are NO trees there, it can't have been squirrel elements. In this case, it must have been BEAVER elements.

Drunk russian beavers
EXACTLY!
From your picture, I can tell.
A few beers, and everyone is talking big.
The beavers are totally wasted, and saying "We're gonna DROP that giant log water tower!"
Blue guy who is also very drunk: "But that isn't a log water tower! It's made of Russian STEEL!"
Beavers: "We don't care! It looks like a log to us! And it's comin down, NOW!"
and then the beavers waddled off, beer cans tucked into their chests with one paw, cigarettes dangling nonchalantly from their lips, to carry out their mischievious plan!
And here we see the results!
Never give a beaver any beers!

Re: Water Tower Repair in Russia Goes Wrong

Looks like they have a few extra repairs to do.

I know absolutely nothing about repairing water towers, or water towers in general, but even a child should be able to look at the condition of that tower and the flimsy things apparently trying to secure it and expect there to be something bad about to happen.

Re: Water Tower Repair in Russia Goes Wrong

That is a water tower? is that a normal design over there? looks like an oversized funnel to me.
