Both tanker and minibus drivers were idiots; *both* were attempting to beat the red light, *both* braked hard and unnecessarily, tanker veered left as a result into the path of the minibus that had no hope of stopping. Stupid + stupid = dead.

Tanker most likely had a green light and was taking a left turn. Van definitely had a red light. Weird intersection |
