Trucker Makes Video to Show His Perspective Vs. Motorcyclists in Front of Him
Translation: "What's the distance between us and the biker? About 5 meters (approx. 16 ft.). As you can see from where we're sitting we only see his head. And there's another and you can only see his head as well. So guys please, let's not do this at the traffic light with this kind of vehicle, and there's another person. Which you can see from this angle, but if I show you from the drivers angle, you can no longer see that person, which is this person, the one with her arms up. And there's yet another one that we can only half see. If I raise the camera we can see the recklessness. People please, let's stop doing this. Let's not do this." |

Great perspective! Helps explain a lot of videos posted here when it looks like the trucker is oblivious..

Re: Trucker Makes Video to Show His Perspective Vs. Motorcyclists in Front of Him
That is a proper heads-up for both truckers and motorcyclists. So let's say ms. Pink Backpack stalls when the light turns green? That truck driver has multiple bogeys on his radar, and with that kind of workload (task saturation), he hopes, prays, assumes the hoard in front of him has the presence of mind to, a) go when the light turns, b) have some rudimentary throttle/clutch coordination in order to launch the bike without stalling, and c) the bike is mechanically sound enough to run and not sneeze out of the carb and quit running. Then, as the trucker starts rowing through the first five of eighteen speeds, he hears and feels a sickening squoosh and snap under his right front wheel. Whose fault? The trucker, or the motorcyclist pick their way through to the front of the queue, unseen by the driver until (literally) crunch time? |

Just for your information, in fact he's playing the "Motorcycle Marimbas", which is an old tradition, passed down from the Incas, from a time when there weren't EVEN ANY MOTORCYCLES YET!! THAT'S how far-seeing the Incas were!! |

He's holding the phone below his eye level so the vid makes it look worse than it actually is. And if he doesn't want to kill people maybe he should stop fucking about on Facetime while he's driving down the road.
