Re: India - Large Ganesha Falls On Festival Goers
For those of you who may not be interculturally trained (As I am) (you can tell, because I told you I was, of course!) "Ganesh" is the Indian God (typically with an elephant trunk attached) who is responsible for crushing people by landing on them. They are generally equipped with that the Indians call a "Peek-a-boo Door" through which they can tickle the actors representing Ganesh, in an effort to have them fall over on them more quickly. As you can see in this film, it worked quite well. There is also ANOTHER Ganesh God, known as "GaneshZap", whose specialty is striking passersby with bolts of lightning from overhead power cables. However, this video and the event are both instances of the first Ganesh character. Indians have many Gods of different persuasions, who do different things in different ways. They just opened the largest Hindu temple in the history of the U.S. in Los Angeles, so you can now expect more of the homegrown kinds of videos, rather than having to import them from India. Instead of being weeks or months old, these videos will be fresh off the computer, selected at the peak of ripeness, and served instantly after harvest. If you have further questions, I would be happy to distribute further folderol, obfuscation, and technical jargon in a very pleasing format. Just ask. |

Re: India - Large Ganesha Falls On Festival Goers
I saw no one killed here...... perhaps when they start dragging it through the fucking power lines, we will see some action.
