Re: The Toughest Bridge In The World

there is a bridge in melbourne, victoria, australia that has been hit 99 times over the last 6 years

it would almost be in double figures this year already - and that is allowing for the fact it hasn't been hit for 16 days

https://www.google.com.au/search?q=m...UQsAQIIQ&dpr=1

i think most, if not all of the pics on the opening page of this link are from this year

The cams focused on that bridge are cool, but they should erect some bleachers nearby so you could enjoy the full-sound-and-visual spectacle in-person.

sorry to hijack the thread, but the melbourne bridge has been hit again this morning - it lasted around 18 days without an impact

Re: The Toughest Bridge In The World

Seems like they just built it a fraction too low, purely to piss people off. Surely they must've known the standard height of trucks like this? Which I'm guessing is about 12ft?
Just like toaster manufacturers, who seemingly don't know how big a slice of fucking bread is.

Re: The Toughest Bridge In The World

They could at least raise the bridge, unless it's for rail.

Jeezus, there are even blinking lights that come on when the vehicle is detected to be too high. How the F&*K do you miss a giant blinking sign that says "YOUR VEHICLE IS TOO HIGH FOR THIS UNDERPASS" ????
