I am always in two minds with attempted suicide. I suppose it is done to protect others from guilt and trauma. So selfish.

OK anyone that says they are trying to commit suicide and waits for a big crowd and police to show up are just putting on a show they don't want to kill themselves they want attention. People that really want to commit suicide do it before all the attention.

I was thinking that myself...

The bridge he's on looks like a footbridge... No random person would call the police if someone was walking on the outside of it and they would be there quick enough to negotiate and stuff which leads me to believe he's gone up on the bridge, phoned the police to tell them he's gonna jump off a " 3 " foot bridge () and wait half an hour for them to come out....
