This reminds me of early 80s GI Joe cartoons, where some 'battle' is taking place and there are many hugely beweaponed flying, tracked or wheeled vehicles involved, but whenever anything actually got hit the operator(s) would just magically jump out unscathed immediately prior to it exploding. If only.
