90 Year Old Speedy Driver Slams His Volvo into the Coffee Roasting Company
On the night of November 27, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a 90-year-old Los Gatos man driving a black Volvo sedan crashed into the Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company at the corner of University Avenue and Main Street in downtown Los Gatos, California. The vehicle was traveling southbound on University Avenue at an estimated speed of 80–100 mph. Surveillance footage captured by the business shows the car made no visible attempt to brake before striking the building. The impact destroyed the front storefront, shattering large glass windows and collapsing brick and structural elements into the interior. The Volvo remained embedded inside the café overnight. Santa Clara County Fire Department personnel extricated the driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, from the wreckage. He was transported to a regional trauma center in serious but stable condition. The coffee shop had closed early for Thanksgiving and was unoccupied; no customers, employees, or bystanders were injured. The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department responded to the scene and, in an official statement issued November 28, 2025, declared that alcohol is suspected to have played a role, although speed and all other factors remain under investigation. As of November 29, 2025, no criminal charges have been filed against the driver. The Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company, located in a 119-year-old building, announced an indefinite closure while structural engineers assess the damage and repairs are planned. The vehicle was removed from the premises on the morning of November 28, 2025. |

Those poor owners when they get the call in the middle of the night that their business is trashed with a car sitting inside the building. |

He was actually going 88mph in order to activate the flux capacitor in order to travel back in time, unfortunately he ran out of road.
