Driver was speeding and hydroplaned on the wet road. There were two occupants, a man and woman. Both were buckled up and survived. Driver had serious injuries and the passenger had to be cut out.

Well at least watching all those dash-videos they produce improved their customs a bit.. Like ants they swarm to the wreck to help this poor driver.. some even stopped oncomming traffic.
Watch a few older vids and they would not even bother to stop

hydroplanning isn't something you think about too much. they talk about it in DE but it's never really happened to me. the question: what would one do in case you start hydroplaning?

Nothing you can do apart from brace for impact. Hydroplaning is when the tyres lose complete traction with the road surface.
