Re: Racing Biker Hits Trees

10 seconds before crash guy behind says "Definitely a better rider".
Awesome footage though & slow motions.

Re: Racing Biker Hits Trees

Brilliant vid from the rear go pro on a stick. When it detached it looked like footage from another bike crashing. I had to watch it again to work out what was happening.

I could go into mishap analysis mode right now, but in the interest of brevity, I will not.

What I will say is, if he has enough money to buy a bike and proper safety gear, he should also invest in doing some organized track days.

Re: Racing Biker Hits Trees

In California, the Santa Monica/Malibu canyons: Latigo Canyon, Kanan Dume, Mulholland Road, a fun place called “The Rock Store”. I road bikes with my friends on the weekdays through the mountains often. Sunday’s we’re full of riders so not the best times. It was quite enjoyable for a long while.

I am interested in reading mishap analysis, so feel free.

Not a street rider. I don't know if the over-lean was due to not getting his knee/body fully in place fast enough, or if he should not have been relying on knee drags when riding high-frequency, alternating twisties like that.
