In that part of the world, austerity cuts are enough to put people's lives and well being at risk. At least some of the protesters were probably fighting to keep a roof over their heads. Funny thing about people laughing at the protesters getting injured (at least). Could be you, or your family, next time |

You miss the whole point of civil disobedience. Rosa Parks should never have got on that bus, but just held a sign on a street somewhere, right? King was breaking the law and arrested when he went to Birmingham Jail. Read Thoreau. All the political heroes of history were law breakers. Heroes must face risk!
