I drove OD (Over Dimension) for years, that route was supposed to be checked. I don't blame the driver of the truck or the pilot car (unless they went rogue), I blame the state, province, county etc. that issued the permits and coinciding route to run as stated on said permits. In this business you don't just grab your OD and run with it, a lot of planning goes with it (or is SUPPOSED to) and you do not deviate from the planned route and it's conditions. |
