Overloaded Trucks Tipped Over Elevated Highway
Wuxi, China. 2 trucks loaded with 13 steel rolls (28 ton each) totaling 400 tons were driving on the outside lane of an elevated highway. The highway was tipped over and crushed three cars underneath. 3 dead 2 injured. Happened on 11th Oct 2019. The local government was quick to blame the trucks and arrested the logistics company personnels. But some pointed out the inadequate design of single support column may have played a role as well. Massive crackdown of overloading trucks followed, driving up steel transport cost significantly in the last month. First time posting, not sure i the videos is playable. |
