Overcrowded Temporary Floating Bridge Collapses Killing 4
In Bangladesh, four kids died and at least five others were reported missing after a temporary floating bridge collapsed into the Brahmaputra River on the afternoon of March 21, 2026. The tragedy occurred in the Dewanganj upazila as hundreds of people crowded onto the structure during Eid celebrations.  |

Didn't they see the sign warning against overloading the temporary floating bridge? TIL that an upazila (formerly thana) is an administrative sub-unit of a district in Bangladesh, acting as a lower tier of local government, similar to a county or borough. |

Either a colloating or a flollapsing bridge. I like the latter a bit better.
