One Killed when Speeding Car Hits a Bike, Pole and Pedestrians

A young driver, 20-year-old Andrés F. D.P, was driving a black car at high speed, allegedly ran a red light and t-boned a motorcycle. The 22-year-old man suffred severe head trauma, including a skull fracture and is now in ICU.

The impact caused a chain reaction as the car hit a pole and then struck 3 pedestrians on the sidewalk.

Tragically, a woman, approx. 53–60 years old, Yara S.T. died at the scene after being hit. She was walking with her two young grandchildren,6 and 9 years old, who suffered minor injuries.

Witnesses told she pushed the children out of harm's way, saving their lives at the cost of her own.

The driver was not under the influence of alcohol, but authorities cite excessive speed and disregarding the traffic signal as key factors.

He received a fine, and the case is under investigation by the prosecutor's office for possible criminal responsibility, reckless homicide or injuries.

The car was registered to a woman, Tania V.S, though he was driving.

Security camera footage captured the moment showing the high-speed impact and chaos.

Re: One Killed when Speeding Car Hits a Bike, Pole and Pedestrians

Must have been a helluva impact to cause all those people to immediately run out onto the street.

The impact caused a chain reaction as the truck hit a pole and then struck 3 pedestrians on the sidewalk.
But, I am confused. (Yes, even more than usual!). Shouldn't "truck" be "car" in that paragraph? There is a truck in the first vid, but it doesn't seem to be directly involved?
