Re: Motorcyclist Hits Rebar Laying in the Street

That’s why they’re made of orange plastic rubber in the US.

That thing damn near matches the color of the road and steel. It’s no wonder he crashed.

Totally agree.

Obviously the rebar should not have been on the road in the first place.

But, as you say, a single dirty traffic cone wasn't adequate warning - especially given the attention span of the average motorist (as seen every day on DR). The rebar guy was lucky it was only a motorbike - if a car or truck hit the rebar it could have injured him.

PS: I'd not heard the term "traffic pylon" before. When I googled it I ended up on a site called trans-supply.com. It's like the Village People with heavy equipment.

On Sale For $12.50. Really thought it would be more expensive tbh.

You must have been looking at the dirty brown non-reflective version and not the bright orange reflective product!

Re: Motorcyclist Hits Rebar Laying in the Street

That's only a tiny wee one. What do you expect to accomplish with that?!?!

And the cone is small too.
