That’s why they’re made of orange plastic rubber in the US.

That thing damn near matches the color of the road and steel. It’s no wonder he crashed.

Totally agree.

Obviously the rebar should not have been on the road in the first place.

But, as you say, a single dirty traffic cone wasn't adequate warning - especially given the attention span of the average motorist (as seen every day on DR). The rebar guy was lucky it was only a motorbike - if a car or truck hit the rebar it could have injured him.

PS: I'd not heard the term "traffic pylon" before. When I googled it I ended up on a site called trans-supply.com. It's like the Village People with heavy equipment.
