Re: Motorcyclist Head-on Crash with Dump Truck
most motorcycle accidents are due to other driver's. Probably 75%, 20% of accidents are from motorcycles driving like retards, and 5% is bike failure.

Re: Motorcyclist Head-on Crash with Dump Truck
Aww bullshit...it seems that nobody EVER wants to place a spec of blame on the cycle rider...truth here is the truck was at fault, but the cyclist was going far too fast and partly responsible for his own death, maybe 80%/20%. If bikers will ride with the understanding that when it comes down to the battle between 4 wheels and 2 wheels, and 2 wheels LOSES everytime...they might live longer. |

Re: Motorcyclist Head-on Crash with Dump Truck
it often boils down to education.... as children we are taught to look both ways when we want to cross a road, to make sure there are no cars coming, when we take our license tests we are taught again to look out for cars..... no wonder people don't see motorcycles. kids should be taught from an early age to check for cyclists and pedestrians, then they will automatically see shit like cars and trucks and lives will be saved. |

Re: Motorcyclist Head-on Crash with Dump Truck
Well you can't blame the truck driver. He was in his lane and if you look at the bottom of the screen there is a dip in the sidewalk where cars/trucks are supposed to turn into. The motorcycle on the other hand is driving in the middle of the road which didn't give much room for the either the trucker or the motorist to get out of each others way. Therefore, the accident was the motorcyclists fault because he should of been in his lane, even if he had a small bike and thought he could "sneak" by everyone. He got himself killed in doing so. One thing that the trucker or the other guy who came to help shouldn't have done was move him. You never move anyone, it just causes brain damage or might even be fatal. That was the truckers fault So basically both are/was to blame during the course of this accident. I don't mean to sound like a snob but all of you blaming one person for something that was clearly an accident isn't fair. |
