Man Suffers Severe Facial Injuries After Tyre Explodes
Kollam district, Kerala state, India A young man, M.F., suffered severe facial injuries when a tyre exploded while he was filling it with air. When he arrived to inflate the tyre, there were no employees available. Impatient, M. decided to start filling the tyre by himself. When it exceeded the limit, the tyre exploded. Upon hearing the noise, fellow businessmen and customers rushed him to a nearby hospital. |

Yeowich! He had that air chuck on the tire for waaaaay too long. I worked with a dude in the Air Force who was servicing a nose wheel tire on an A-10. Normally you set the max pressure and it stops filling when it reaches the set point. Well, he forgot to set the max and hooked that 'ol nitrogen cart up. The result is much of like what you saw in this video. He came back to work about four months later, but his face looked like a railroad marshaling yard. |

I set those damn controllers to max and did periodic checks with a hand gauge. Faster, and I never trusted the accuracy of the controller settings.

He's lucky to be alive. In most of these types of videos on DR you see the tire go "BOOM!" and the guy completely disappears, then a few seconds later you see a shredded corpse drop down from the heavens *fade to black... forever* |
