Why blame the whale?. It's forced to perform tricks to entertain worthless humans. You can't blame the dam whale, it just needs to be free to live it's life as nature intended. Poor whale.

And if it had wanted too it could have bitten that leg off. But it didn't.
So it was kinder to the human than the humans are to it.
