Re: Hong Kong Women Crossing Roads
First vid: Causeway Bay. At 8:11 a.m., a private car traveling along Causeway Road West, towards Moreton Terrace, struck a 50-year-old foreign male pedestrian. An ambulance arrived at the scene and confirmed the pedestrian had sustained a lumbar injury. The pedestrian remained conscious and was taken to Ruttonjee Hospital by ambulance. A car cam captured the moment of the accident, showing a private car approaching in the right lane just as the male pedestrian stepped out of the road. The private car, apparently unable to brake in time, struck the male pedestrian head-on. He was thrown onto the hood of the car before rebounding and landing, causing the private car to stop immediately. Meanwhile, a school minibus approached in the left lane, and its driver also braked to avoid hitting the male pedestrian. A female pedestrian, dragging two children across the road, witnessed the collision and gasped for breath. She then quickly carried the children across the road. |
