Biker Crashes with a Truck and Died
DR. A young man identified as Michael or Misael Rodriguez, alias "Mica", approximately 18 years old, died after crashing his motorcycle into a truck from the Preventive Police that was allegedly performing patrolling. The accident occurred at the intersection of Dr. Teofilo Ferri and Lieutenant Amado Garcia streets, in that city. According to security camera footage and collected witnesses, the young man was driving at a high speed when he collided with the police vehicle, a white Isuzu truck, plate 6921. Rodriguez, who resided in the province of San Pedro de Macorís, was transferred to the Aristides Fiallo Cabral Hospital, (Social Insurance) of that locality, where he received first aid. Subsequently, he was referred to the regional hospital of San Pedro de Macorís, where he sadly passed away. Relatives of the deceased reported that the young man was allegedly shot twice, although this information has not been confirmed by authorities. |

Based on watching videos of Arkansas State Police pursuits (Trooper Byrd!) I can tell you that they would consider that to be a valid traffic stop technique for a medium-risk offender.
